Brücks Street Kitchen was the first new concept at Kings Buildings as part of Accommodation, Catering and Events (ACE) ongoing commitment to creating exciting catering environments.

Brücks is a street food concept combining a focus on global foods with an environment drawing upon urban materials for a truly different lunch experience for our Kings Buildings customer.

The menu changes weekly and will always offer something for vegans and vegetarians, try our chicken shawarma; spiced falafel flatbread; or aubergine, spinach, and mushroom Kashmir rogan josh.  A selection of cakes and treats are available throughout the day alongside 100% Arabica bean coffee.

The Eng Inn is located within the School of Engineering study space in the Hudson Beare building at Kings Buildings campus. 

The café is open Monday to Friday, offering a barista coffee service along with a wide range of hot and cold snacks. Choose from a selection of Panini, toasties, bagels, baguettes, salads, deli pots and soup which are freshly prepared daily in our central production kitchen. We also stock a varied selection of cold drinks, homemade bakery items, muffins, cookies, confectionery and crisps.

Element located in Murchison House further demonstrates Accommodation, Catering and Events ongoing commitment to increase the variety of catering on the Kings Buildings site informed through customer feedback and benchmarking wider food trends developing within Universities.

“Element” through the use of simple white tiles and light ceiling rafts reflects its fresh credentials with a focus on a healthy range offering make your own salads. Customers have a choice of leaves, protein (meat or plant based), dressings and toppings so can really customise their own salad as per their own specific dietary needs. Element offers the healthiest range on site.

In addition to an extensive range of fully ground 100% Arabica coffees and organic fair trade teas, look out for  new street food items with filled pretzel rolls, wraps, brioche buns and folded nan which can all be cooked within a minute in our new specialist ovens.

The KB Café is located on the ground floor of the Noreen and Kenneth Murray Library of King's Buildings. 

It provides an extensive range of freshly ground speciality coffees and organic Fairtrade teas, along with soups, baked potatoes and a wide selection of sandwiches, panini, baguettes and salads, together with confectionary, soft drinks, freshly made smoothies and frappés.

Order inside at our walk-up touchscreen kiosks and collect at the counter - quick and convenient! 

The café provides an urban feel whilst importantly bringing the outside in with use of internal planting and a glazed outlook onto the site gardens and Eduardo Paolozzipola sculptures. An exciting new integrated space has been created, which is open to all with a range of seating configurations for dining, collaborating, socialising, and relaxing.

Start your day off right with our wholesome breakfast menu or explore our delicious all-day dining offer. Salad boxes, hot boxes, burgers, wraps and snacks with a focus on fresh ingredients, made from scratch in our Nucleus kitchen.  Add our house fries, slaw, and dips to make it your own and savour the flavours!
